CONCEPTION TO CALVING PROGRAM™

Select Genetix offers recipient herd options designed to support efficient, well-timed embryo transfer programs and help align reproductive outcomes with your operational goals.

Our Conception to Calving Program™ allows clients to place embryos into our recipient females, which are then managed through gestation and calved out within our program.

All recipient management, synchronization, implantation, and pregnancy evaluation are handled within a structured, flat-rate system for clarity and consistency:

  • Recipient synchronization (CIDR, Lutalyse, GnRH, and related protocols)

  • Embryo implantation

  • Pregnancy diagnosis and ultrasound evaluation

  • Live calf buyback upon successful calving

This structure is designed to provide predictability in program planning while maintaining a high standard of recipient care and reproductive management throughout the process.

Recipient Herd Program

​

Our recipient herds are managed to support multiple scheduled calving groups throughout the year. We work closely with each program to align embryo transfer timing with their operational goals and seasonal breeding plans.

​

All recipient females are maintained under consistent, high-health protocols designed to support reproductive efficiency and embryo survival. This includes a structured vaccination program, routine health monitoring, and strategic de-worming adjusted seasonally based on environmental conditions and herd exposure.

​

Our vaccination protocol includes protection against BVD Types 1 & 2, PI3, BRSV, Clostridium species (chauvoei, septicum, novyi, sordellii, perfringens Types C & D), Moraxella bovis, Campylobacter fetus var. venerealis, and the five most common Leptospira serovars.

​

Nutritional management is tailored specifically to reproductive performance. Recipient females are maintained on high-quality forages, grain supplementation, and balanced mineral programs, adjusted according to stage of production and reproductive status.

​

All females selected for the recipient program must have successfully raised at least one unassisted calf and meet strict health and body condition requirements.

 

Our recipient herd is primarily composed of Simmental and Angus-based females selected for maternal consistency and soundness.

​

We offer both fresh and frozen embryo transfer services, including conventional and IVF embryos.

​

While we strive for the highest possible conception and calving success rates, embryo transfer outcomes are influenced by biological and environmental factors, and no live calf guarantee is provided.
