We typically work with recipient groups of at least 10 head. If you have fewer than 10 embryos to implant, we may be able to split a group with another customer.

Select Genetix typically contracts recipient females over a year in advance. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible about recipients as they get spoken for quickly. We are currently booked out until late summer of 2026.

No. We do not accept down payments on recipient groups. You will receive a contract for your recipient group, and we will stay in contact with you regarding your contracted group. Contracts must be signed and submitted at least 45 days in advance of your group set-up start date, and can be signed and submitted up to 12 months in advance. If the contract is not signed or we do not hear from back from you, your group will be offered to the next customer on our waitlist.

No, we do not offer any type of payment plans on any services. We utilize a simple billing schedule so that you will always know when your next payment is due.

All bills associated with synchronization, embryo implantation, pregnancy checking, and creep feed will be billed electronically and can be paid with most credit or debit cards, or bank transfer. Payment for live cattle can be remitted in the form of a cashiers check, cash, bank transfer, or credit card (credit card payment will incur a card processing fee).

In short, yes! Depending on our recipient herd availability, we will work with you to implant embryos within your desired time frame.

Absolutely! We encourage you to come see your calves in person at any time. We are also happy to send you photos & videos of your calves if you are unable to come see them in person before they are weaned and picked up.

Yes. All ET calves receive core calf-hood vaccinations, boosters, and deworming before weaning. If you would like to add any additional vaccinations to your ET calves we are happy to administer them at an additional expense. Core vaccinations and deworming are included in your calf buyback price.

The vet clinic or reproduction center that created your embryos can typically ship your embryos straight to Select Genetix. If you are unsure if your reproduction center offers shipping, we recommend contacting them directly.

We do not offer any type of "large quantity" calf discounts. All live ET calves will be available for buyback at the contracted price after weaning.

We strive to give you the best results possible and work to ensure that every step of the embryo transfer process is completed precisely, however, we do not offer any type of guarantee on recipient success, embryo implantation, or live cattle.

All of our recipient cows were either born and raised by us, or were purchased as bred heifers and were moved to our recipient program after proving maternal ability. We always know the complete health and performance history of our recipient females. We never use cattle sourced from sale barns or other venues where no history is provided to us. Our recipient females undergo yearly herd health by a licensed veterinarian, and are on comprehensive vaccination, de-worming, feed, and mineral programs.

We do not offer the option to purchase ET pregnancies. Our recipient herds are hand picked and carefully selected specifically for our Conception to Calving Calf Buyback Program. Your embryos are only available for purchase as live cattle after birth and weaning.
